India, Japan civil nuclear deal comes into force

  • India-Japan agreement for Cooperation in the Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy has come into force from today.
  • The agreement was signed on 11th November last year in Tokyo during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Japan.
  • The agreement seeks to promote full cooperation b/w the 2 countries in the development and uses of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes on a stable, reliable and predictable basis
